AIANY Interiors Speed Presentation Edition 5 – Inside Out/Outside In: Interiors Influencing the Public Realm

Less than 12 hours are left for the contest deadline.
Please visit the contest website for additional info.

The AIANY Interiors Committee Committee is announcing another Speed Presentation the evening of April 15th at the Steelcase Showroom. We are currently calling for entries to present one interiors project each from 10 New York City architects.

This edition of the series will focus on interior projects that capture a public spirit, that operate both internally and externally, that embody a more public aspect whether it be for a public, private, commercial or non-profit client- interiors that add to the life of the city, town or village that they are in and/or contribute to the greater community by connecting to the public realm in some way, be it real or virtual.

The Speed Presentation series was created by the AIANY Interiors Committee to showcase New York-based architects who are designing outstanding interior spaces. The format of the event – 10 architects each presenting in quick-fire 6 minute intervals, allows us to explore a wide range of projects in a short timeframe and brings a new spin on conventional presentation modes. It is a way of exposing an abundance of good work in one evening. Additionally, the selected 10 projects will be featured on the AIA National website.

The architect or firm must be based in NYC, but the projects can be located anywhere. The projects must be built within the last 5 years. There is no fee to enter. You may enter more than one project. The projects may be of any type, should be completed and should manifest the ideas we describe.

Please submit a maximum of 10 PDF images and a brief narrative describing your project and how it responds to this criteria. Submit to Genna Weiner at Submissions are due by Friday March 7, 2014
