ULI Northwest Young Leaders Group: Cascadia Regional Conference

Join the ULI Northwest Young Leaders Group for the 6th Annual YLG Cascadia Regional Conference on July 18 & 19 in Portland! The conference promises to be two days full of lively discussion, exciting project and neighborhood tours, networking events, and beautiful Portland summer weather.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Dan Miller, co-founder of Fundrise, an innovative online investment platform that gives individuals the ability to directly invest in commercial real estate.

The conference will also feature panel discussions on topics like New Models of Real Estate Finance and Affordability and Livability in the Pacific Northwest, and tours of innovative development sites that are integrating jobs, housing, and transit into existing neighborhoods and connecting communities on both sides of the river.

Photo Essay Contest

In conjunction with this year’s conference, ULI Northwest is debuting a photo essay competition. Competitors will vie for a $500 grand prize by submitting a photo essay addressing the question, “What ingredients or elements make up successful urban neighborhoods, and which of these will be most important as our world moves rapidly toward a more urban future?” Submissions should include two to four images and a written statement of up to 300 words.

The jury will announce the winners and discuss their selection process at the conference in July.

Visit the competition website to learn more about this year’s theme, the prizes, and jurors.
