RE: Think | Profit – Architecture in the Age of the Entrepreneur

When: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM THURSDAY, APRIL 4

Where: At The Center for Architecture (536 LaGuardia Place, New York, NY 10013)

This panel is focused on the shift within architecture toward new models of practice that are as influenced by the ideology of the marketplace as the discipline of the architecture. Central to this discussion is the notion of how the ‘value’ in architecture is changing, and what strategies can be developed that give architectural thinking more leverage than it has had in the recent past. Bringing together a group of individuals operating both inside and outside of the profession the discussion will focus on how entrepreneurial thinking is changing how architects are positioning themselves in the world.

Panelists
Alejandro Zaera-Polo – Dean, Princeton University
Hunter Tura – President and CEO, Bruce Mau Design
Miguel McKelvey – Founder and Chief Creative Officer, WeWork
Ciel Hunter, Creative Director, The Creator’s Project
