Museo ItaloAmericano Lecture: Amadeo Peter Giannini (RSVP req.)

Museo Italo Americano, Bldg C — Jul 17th

Learn more about banker Amadeo Peter Giannini, one of the first to extend financial support to ordinary folks. Without his financial support, the Golden Gate Bridge might not have been built. Giannini also bankrolled the Hollywood film industry for such films as Gone with the Wind and Disney’s Snow White and he originated savings bank books for school children?

He did all this in spite of enormous prejudice against him as an Italian American and an egalitarian banker.
