Mid-Century Marvelous: An Evening at the Brody House
For its fall fundraiser, the Los Angeles Conservancy will offer an extremely rare chance to visit the famous Brody House in Holmby Hills. The home was designed for art collectors Sidney and Frances Lasker Brody by the dream team of architect A. Quincy Jones, interior designer William “Billy” Haines, and landscape designer Garrett Eckbo.
Spanning more than 11,000 square feet and completed in 1951, the home is an early example of Mid-Century Modernism at an extraordinary scale. It was recently restored and still has many original furnishings designed by Haines.
Tickets start at $300; proceeds benefit the nonprofit Conservancy’s efforts to preserve the unique historic places of Greater L.A.
