Lorcan O’Herlihy, FAIA, is the Founding Principal of Los Angeles-based Lorcan O’Herlihy Architects [LOHA]. In 2004 the Architectural League of New York selected Lorcan as one of eight “emerging voices” in the United States. In 2009, he was elevated to the prestigious College of Fellow of the AIA. Lorcan’s commitment to design excellence in commercial, educational and residential projects has earned him national and international recognition, including the 2010 AIA Los Angeles Firm of the Year Award and recent nominations for the 2013 Cooper Hewitt National Design Award, the 2013 Marcus Prize, and the 2011 AIA National Firm of the Year. LOHA’s work has been recognized in exhibitions and publications across the globe. Lorcan has taught and lectured extensively over the last decade, including at the Architectural Association in London; Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc); Cranbrook Academy of Art, Michigan; Columbia University; University of Southern California and the National Building Museum, Washington D.C.
