Architecture and the City Landscape Architecture Tour
Designed by GLS Landscape | Architecture to include flexible space and accommodate infrastructure for an outdoor museum, the Exploratorium dedicates two acres of public plaza and outdoor exhibit areas for learning about the Bay and the observation of wind, fog and tides at its new location. On this tour, Principal Gary Strang will explain the process of converting these formerly industrial piers into a new public plaza with ticketed outdoor exhibit space, three new pedestrian bridges, and nearly 1/2 mile of new public waterfront promenades that unifies the entire San Francisco waterfront.
