A River Runs Through It: Developing and Designing Chicago’s Second Shoreline

As Chicago develops plans to transform the Chicago River into the city’s second shoreline, we get excited about more opportunities for recreation, increased public access, preservation of natural habits, and retail revenue streams to fund these developments. Who wins and who loses as we develop and redesign this shore? Can we create connected and visionary designs that serve the varied needs of retail, residential, riparian life, and recreation?

Join us for a lively panel discussion about design and development and its impact in light of varied projects along the Chicago River including the Riverwalk, Wolf Point, and Lathrop Homes Redevelopment.
