Student design challenge. JOINING GREEN SPIRIT WITH MATTER

ECOWEEK, together with the ZEZEZE architecture gallery, are happy to announce an open design challenge for students of architecture, landscape architecture and design. The design competition is held by ECOWEEK as part of the planned 4-week exhibition Joining Green Spirit with Matter which will take place the at the ZEZEZE Architecture Gallery at the Tel Aviv port on March 2013.

During the planned exhibition, the gallery space will host various activities including a dynamic exhibition with changing content during the 4-week period, alongside two Ecoweek workgroups during a week-long workshop. The design challenge asks participants to propose a design for gallery venue, combining a design for the planned exhibition while addressing the required functions in the exhibition space as well as principles of sustainable design and construction.

Participation is open to students of architecture, landscape architecture and design, individuals and teams. It is a single-stage open international competition. Registration deadline is December 16th, submissions must be received by January 13th 2013. Registration fee is EUR10.

The jury includes Marta Pozo Gil (MVRDV, NL), Ulf Meyer (Ingenhoven Architects, DE), Udi Kassif (Mayslits Kassif Architects, IL), Elias Messinas (Ecoweek, GR/IL) and Noga Lasser (ZEZEZE/N Lasser Design, IL).

The jury shall select a single winning proposal which shall receive a cash prize of EUR600, and three honorable mentions who shall receive a subscription to Detail magazine.
