TOWARDS SYSTEMIC FOOD, the fourth edition of Posterheroes
The cultural association PLUG launches new edition of the international competition aimed at promoting the debate about themes of global interest and social development.
Posterheroes starts a two-year project focused on Food System, aimed at investigating the themes of food and nutrition in their social, environmental and economic nature.
The competition will be open until February 16th 2014 and will address the theme of food as a cultural element, mirror of the society traditions and socio-cultural changes.
The social communication contest, with the patronage by Unesco, has the main goal to involve the creative community around four main issues: biodiversity, obesity and malnutrition, migration/immigration and territorial interconnected systems.
Information campaigns are promoting a nutrition education among consumers, fostering a sustainable development. This trend evolution is possible only through the direct involvement of the consumer who can influence the food production system through critical choices and aware decisions.
The creative people around the world are called to express their ideas on the Systemic Food through the creation of a 50x70cm poster .
For each category, the international jury, composed by experts in the field of graphic design and communication, will identify the best ten proposals, for a total of forty selected posters.
Participation in Posterheroes 4 is simple and free, open to individuals or groups. The works must be uploaded on www.posterheroes.org by February 16, 2014 at midnightITALY time.
