Starting on October 18, 2012, Vancouver/Brooklyn-based custom wine cellar company, Vin de Garde Modern Wine Cellars Inc. is hosting the ‘Design a Wine Wall’ contest open to designers residing in Canada and USA (excluding Quebec). The winner of the contest will receive a $3,500.00 USD cash prize, plus an all-expenses paid trip to ICFF in New York City, May 18-21, 2013.

Entrants can submit one design brief to contest@vindegarde.ca. After the submission period is complete, all designs accepted will be uploaded to the official Vin de Garde Modern Wine Cellars Inc. Facebook Page where the top three finalists will be chosen based on the number of votes, or ‘Likes’ that the entrant’s design is given.

On November 29, 2012, the top three finalists will have their designs prototyped, tested and judged; first, second and third place will be announced on February 29, 2013. First place winner will receive a $3,500.00 USD cash prize, plus an all-expenses paid trip to ICFF in New York City, May 18-21, 2013; second place winner will receive a $1,000.00 USD cash prize; and third place winner will receive a $500.00 USD cash prize.

Entrants have 6 weeks to submit a modern light weight, modular wine wall design brief starting at 1:00 pm PST on October 18, 2012 until November 28, 2012 at 11:59PM PST. Public voting will commence at 5:00PM PST on November 29th, 2012 and finish at 11:59PM on January 4th, 2013.
