The purpose of this competition for students of architecture is to provide ideas for creating a coworking Building (COB), in the city of Madrid, Spain, focusing on collaborative approaches, flexibility, connectivity, accessibility, sustainability and energy efficiency.

As a result of the application of new technologies significant changes have been produced in work spaces. Long distances between residence and work centers usually cause a prolonged stay in the workplace, above the strict working hours.

This competition pretends an architectural reflection on how to solve these problems through the creation of a new workplace model, where it becomes important to consider new possibilities of relations between different companies and / or professionals and where the flexible hours and extent of working hours introduced new conditions in its design.

The coworking Building (COB) proposed must provide an adequate solution to the planned use program, solving the problems of its location and creating a model of workplace that can offer workers and professional optimal conditions for the development of personal and professional life.

To design the coworking Building (COB) it must be taken into account the new connectivity models to promote synergies between different companies and / or professionals, paying particular attention to energy efficiency criteria and environmental issues.
