Last week AN plugged an event that aimed to turn downtown Cleveland into a festival of lights. Sure enough, colorful projections flooded the walls of downtown cultural institutions while a massive rainbow arched over the city and iridescent discs of rainbow light saw curious Clevelanders clambering about.

Referred to as both “AHA!” and “Light Up Cleveland,” the event was a LAND studio project made possible with sponsorships from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture and Cleveland Public Power.

Here’s a brand new gallery from photographer Frank Lanza via LAND Studio. Featured artists included Yvette Mattern, Obscura Digital, Jen Lewin, and Iván Juárez. LAND said the events drew thousands of visitors downtown.

Nice write-up, buy I wonder why the Gay Games weren’t mentioned. It was after all part of opening weekend. :)
