Summer Lab Frankfurt 2014 – Interactive Architectural Prototypes

Directed by Anton Savov & Ata Mansuroglu
In Partnership with Städelschule Architecture Class

“Interactive Architectural Prototypes” is a two week Summer Lab for students, architects, designers and game developers based on the principles of experimentation and interactivity through emerging technologies in architectural production.
Learn interactive architectural prototyping with various techniques of feedback. From basic NURBS modelling in Rhino, through parametric tooling with Grasshopper, to interacting with users with Unity 3D game-engine and sensing with Arduino.
Workshop is beginner level. No previous software experience is required.
The acquired knowledge will be applied to designing interactive prototypes ultimately exhibited at an open public exhibition at the Städelschule.
