Staten Island: Part 1

Lifelong Staten Islander and popular Jane’s Walk host, Georgia Trivizas, will lead you from Manhattan across the river to her hometown, bringing you through the area surrounding the Staten Island Ferry Terminal, known as St. George. This neighborhood on the northeastern tip of Staten Island is the most densely developed region of the island, serving as the administrative center of the borough and home to the St. George Historical District (designated by the New York Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1994). Inspired by the overlooked tour guides she’s met through her travels – native taxi and bus drivers – Georgia will take you on a tour of the borough she knows best, discussing what was, what is, and what will become of the long-time up-and-coming neighborhood. Please be prepared to walk up steep hills. Cost: $20 / $15 Members.
