Place is the Space

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis’ building designed by Brad Cloepfil of Allied Works Architecture, Place is the Space will feature new commissions by five international artists that occupy and interact with particular spaces within the building. Each project will address key aspects of the experience of the building: boundary, transparency, surface, intersection, scale and the public. Co-curated by Cloepfil and CAM Chief Curator Dominic Molon, this exhibition represents an unprecedented collaboration between a museum and the architect of its building.
