A three-person group show, (in)Habitation aims to (re)consider the notion of domesticity through a combination of ideas, metaphors and objects that take as a starting point aspects and images of the home. Each of these artists uses elements of the domestic or commonly seen materials and icons (be it a table and chairs, a houseplant, or a simple beam) and adds a disruptive layer or concept to them to create an often contrary and new image. Through this manipulation, although the viewer instinctually recognizes elements of the common object, a disturbance is created that forces the viewer to reconsider and question their original assumptions.
