Emerging Voices: DIGSAU; Ogrydziak Prillinger Architects

The third evening of the annual Emerging Voices lecture series, featuring Jules Dingle, Jeff Goldstein, Mark Sanderson, and Jamie Unkefer of the Philadelphia office DIGSAU and Luke Ogrydziak and Zoë Prillinger of San Francisco’s Ogrydziak Prillinger Architects. Emerging Voices spotlights individuals and firms based in the United States, Canada, or Mexico with distinct design voices and the potential to influence the disciplines of architecture, landscape design, and urbanism.

Jules Dingle, Jeff Goldstein, Mark Sanderson, and James Unkefer of Philadelphia’s DIGSAU conceive of the architect as a generalist, rethinking architectural processes, using craft and low-tech construction to inform today’s complex computational and manufacturing systems. Luke Ogrydziak and Zoë Prillinger of San Francisco’s Ogrydziak Prillinger Architects analyze design logics, such as techniques of representation, efficiency, and consistency, and the opportunities to subvert or complicate these controls.
