Docomomo US National Tour Day 2013

On October 5th and throughout the month of October, Docomomo US will engage thousands of participants and an exciting range of partners during their seventh annual national Tour Day program. Tour Day continues to be one of the largest national programs devoted to the appreciation of architecture in the United States, and is unique for its specific focus on modern architecture and design of the mid-20th century. This year it includes more than 50 tours planned in 23 states, in 40 individual cities. The annual Tour Day program brings together the fourteen Docomomo US chapters, in addition to friends organizations, architecture and preservation organizations, architects, historians, designers, and enthusiasts to celebrate the architecture, landscapes, interiors and public spaces of the modern movement across the U.S.

Programming includes exclusive tours, events, and related activities hosted by a range of both established and emerging organizations and presented by many of the leading voices in our field.
