ARAAGOUC Project 2015

Less than 12 hours are left for the contest deadline.
Please visit the contest website for additional info.

ARAAGOUC is an artist-run initiative, which aims to bring together international visual artists from around the world, by forming an artist collective and organize a group exhibition in Paris in April 2015, on the occasion of the Armenian genocide centenary commemoration.

The particularity of this art project intended to raise awarness of genocide prevention and education, is that it focuses on a third party reflection, vision and interpretation, represented by non-Armenian artists exclusively, about the tragedy that took place in 1915 in the Ottoman Empire, its consequences and its direct/indirect impact on our world.

By remembering the Armenian Genocide, we can prevent other people from suffering the same fate as the Armenian nation. .
By setting up a creative intelligence around this key project, we develop a cross-combination of multiple creative minds, disciplines and ideas, that will encourage the world to react and get people’s attention in a distinctive way.

Let’s give artists worldwide the power to express themselves on this subject that concerns us all.
