The AIANY Interiors Committee is announcing another Speed Presentation on April 15th at the Steelcase Showroom. We are currently calling for entries to present one interiors project each from 10 New York City architects.
This edition of the series will focus on interior projects that capture a public spirit, that operate both internally and externally, that embody a more public aspect whether it be for a public, private, commercial or non-profit client – interiors that add to the life of the city, town, or village that they are in and/or contribute to the greater community by connecting to the public realm in some way, be it real of virtual.
The Speed Presentation series was created by the AIANY Interiors Committee to showcase New York-based architects who are designing outstanding interior spaces. The format of the event – 10 architects each presenting in quick-fire 6 minute intervals, allows us to explore a wide range of projects in a short timeframe and brings a new spin on conventional presentation modes. It is a way of exposing an abundance of good work in one evening. Additionally, the selected 10 projects will be featured on the AIA National website.
The architect or firm must be based in NYC, but the projects can be located anywhere. There is no fee to enter. You may enter more than one project. The projects may be of any type, should be completed, and should manifest the ideas we describe. Submitted projects must have been built within the last 5 years.
Please submit a maximum of 10 PDF images and a brief narrative describing your project and how it responds to this criteria. Submit to Genna Weiner at email@example.com. Submissions are due by Friday, March 7, 2014.
